I think that AI is an effective tool to increase efficiency in various tasks. However, I do think that it is dangerous to rely completely on AI. I believe that AI should be used almost as a tutor, supporting, teaching, explaining, and correcting.
AI is a great way to check your work and identify problems without taking the time to search for them yourself. In coding this website, I have used AI to do exactly this. I like to copy and paste my code into AI and ask it to search for mistakes or potential problems. If it does find problems, I can ask AI to tell me exactly how to fix them. I am a beginner at coding, and this has really helped me to limit frustation if my website breaks.
One of the first websites that I built was about the most intelligent animals on Earth. I wanted an image with all these animals in it, so that I could create a map for users to navigate to more information about each animal. However, these animals were all very different, and no picture existed with all of them in it. So, I got AI to blend their habitats and create a picture with all the animals in it. It went really well and I was able to use this picture for my website.
I am a beginner at coding, and it has been really difficult for me to understand at times. Using AI to teach me new skills, or explain things that I didn't understand has really helped me. If I had an idea for something I wanted to create using code, I would describe that thing to AI in detail. Then, I would ask AI to walk me through exactly how to do this step by step. Sometimes I would even say that I am a third grader and coding beginner. This made responses a lot more simple, broken down, and easier to understand.
